I’m a parent, can I hire one of your dual control cars for a day to teach my son/daughter?
Unfortunately not, supervising someone in a dual control car is a skill that needs to be learnt and not something we advise to the general public.
Can I hire a car for just one day?
Yes of course you can, this will cost £60 instead of the standard rate.
Do you supply cars all over the UK?
No unfortunately we do not, we only hire within a 25 mile radius of RG10, due to any possible break downs, and getting our mechanics to you.
How much support do you provide whilst we are hiring a car?
If you have issues with your hire car please call us and we will be able to help you. If you have mechanical issues we can provide a mechanic at no extra charge.
Can anyone drive the car when it is on hire?
No only the driving instructor, whilst teaching a learner or between lessons.
Is the car fully insured, or do I need to insure it myself?
The cars are all fully insured and ready to drive. You will still need your business liability insurance.
Is there a deposit to pay for the car?
No we do not take a deposit.
Is there a mileage limit?
No, you can do as many miles as you need in the car.
Are there any limitations on what I can use the car for?
Our dual control hire cars can only be used for teaching learners to drive.
Can I pay cash for the car hire?
No, sorry we only take cards or bank transfers.
How does payment work?
You can pay for your hire either by Card or Bank Transfer
We require you to pay for the hire of the car before you receive the car for the time you require it for. If you extend the hire of the car we will ask you to pay for the extra time at the time of the extension.
Which documents do I need to provide to hire a car?
We will require:
- Copy of your driving licence
- Copy of your ADI/PDI badge
- Driving licence code from the DVLA – link will be sent by email
- Information about no claims in the past 5 years
- Public liability insurance proof form DIA for example
If you are unsure which documents we will require please ask when you book the car.
What is the car check in and check out procedure?
Hire form needs to be filled in and signed.
Car condition form filled in and signed. Pictures/video of the car are taken at the start and end of hire to ensure there are no misunderstandings about the condition of the car when it is returned.
